Facebook has expanded its video calling facility with up to 50 people

Facebook challenges video calling app Zoom by enabling simultaneous video calls with up to 50 people via Messenger Room.

Currently, Zoom is able to make video calls with up to 100 people at once. But Facebook's goal is to capture the market amid high security challenges against Zoom. The central government had announced a Rs 1 crore bonus for app developers in lieu of zoom. Facebook has introduced the feature of calling 50 people simultaneously with no time limit.

The special feature is that even those who do not have a Facebook account can invite a video call. Messenger users can also post links in news feeds. There is also option to lock the chat room. Visual effects can also be brought about using Augmented Realty technology.

Users can add and remove persons when required.
