Scientists killed cancer cells

A new chemotherapy was discovered that perfectly target cancer cells, by a group of scientists.  The team managed to kill cancer cells without affecting the healthy cells. The research was done using DNA editing technology.

The group of scientists mentioned that in 2 years this tool can be used in human for cure and now this is already test in mice.  Professor Dan Peer an expert in cancer from Tel Aviv University Israel, mentioned that there will be no side effects and chance of caner cell regeneration is zero.

This will be a great hope for the cancer patients and their life expectancy can be improved. This is first time that is by using Crispr genome editing technology the section of the DNA was cut out and treated the cancer effectively -  scientists claims

Professor Peer  also explains that if a tumor can be destroyed as it can be physically cut the DNA in cancerous cells, and those cells will not live. the test was conducted on mice and it was found that its life expectancy and their survival rate was 30% higher. He also updated that this technology need to be developed further.

He also highlighted that the once its ready for humans each patient  treatment can be customized and also treatment can be directly given to the tumor.

During the research scientists mainly focused on two types of cancers cells that is metastatic ovarian cancer  and glioblastoma - a kind of brain cancer where life expectancy and survival rate is very low, according to the research, the injection against glioblastoma cancer resulted in reducing the tumor growth by 50% and survival improved to 30%. And in the case of ovarian tumor the survival by 80% which seems to be a good result.
