South Indian Bank and Visa group joined together to introduce swipe-less or contact-less cards. This card uses NFC technology (Near field communication).
While doing a transaction at shops there is no need to give your card to swipe just touch the swipe machine (NFC supported) with the card and enter the pin.
It also comes with chip feature when you cannot find a NFC POS system for transaction. As per banks small amount transactions can be done even without entering the PIN.
Contact less cards will bring a new change to the banking in India. this is considered as a high security feature because now a days in India there is lots of ATM card misuse occurs.
