On Monday April 1st 2013 fire breaks out at Gold Souk Grande Mall in Vyttila due to an electrical short circuit in a garment showroom. The incident took place around 4 p.m. Two employees were injured.
The fire came out from the A/C unit because of its duct was blocked with cloth pieces & cardboard boxes. The fire and smoke triggered the fire alarm so it helped the visitors & employees to rush out of the mall. Fire and Rescue Services told the mall managers to close the mall. Fire and Rescue Services team also found that there is not enough fire fighting equipments in the mall. So it will be a great treat to the visitors & employees.
