Calicut International Airport expansion project has been finalized by the Central Govt. of India. 110 Crore Indian Rupee will spend for the Airport terminal expansion. Project also includes the construction of new Arrival block for the people coming from Abroad.
Once the Project is completed, Efficiency of the Customs and Immigration clearance Operations will improved. 20 Customs counter, 48 Immigration counter, 5 conveyor belts and 2 Aero bridge will be in the New arrival block.
New aircraft parking bay will constructed with in next 10 months. Once the new parking bay opens more fights will provide service via Calicut Airport. Once the land acquisition is completed, Projects including the Runway expansion can be done as early as possible.
